Plants grown on land have found some identification in alternative medicines to an extent that people have started looking forward for more natural healers than allopathic treatments.

The plant is native to Africa with a height of about 2.9mm spreading over 1-1.5m. It blossoms around autumn commencing from late summer season and is mostly seen by river sides and wet soil. The root has asparagine that is well known as diuretic and cough relaxant. The other vital constituents are coixol and mucilage the former one has some sedative property as awesome reliever to nervous system and the later lowers body temperature, lowers blood sugar levels too.
